Petals

Inside the sepals are the petals. These are usually showy, colorful, and fragrant -- isn't that why we humans like flowers?

Petals often help attract pollinators, such as bees and other insects, birds, and bats, that transfer pollen from one flower to another. In contrast, wind-pollinated flowers, such as oaks and ragweed, may have petals that are very small or completely absent. The petals of a single flower are collectively known as the corolla.
